your tailoring is awesome, puts mine to shame. i'm ok at peasent and soldier stuff but i don't have the patience for upper class.

Wow, I've been recommended! Good to see another reenactor on here, I do 16th century, a tiny bit of Medieval, and I've just started WW2 and Roman.

brilliant. i'm devoted to 17th C, but from a fighters point of view, it's the viking shield walls that pose most threat to a pike block (as experienced in multi-bash). knitting a chainmaille shirt must be difficult, i've heard of them taking years to complete, and i have much respect for those that wear them, they're way heavier than 17C plate

Yeah, maille is heavy to carry, or rather hold.

Never worn the stuff. I do civillian - I don't favour cross-dressing.
